Joe Calvin Curtis of Parker, Texas passed away on June 14, 2018 at the age of 88. He was born on August 18, 1929 to Roy Oscar and Sylvia Jo (Spinks) Curtis in Lewisville, Texas. Joe proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He was employed with Continental- EMSCO and VARO as a machinist, and he also worked as a farmer. Joe enjoyed senior dances at the McKinney and Plano Senior Centers. He was a member at the First Baptist Church of Murphy.
Joe is survived by his daughter, Pamela Curtis Feronti of Plano, Texas; grandson, Stephen Curtis Feronti of Austin, Texas; granddaughter, Rebecca Jean Feronti of Nashville, Tennessee; sisters, Nelma Shaw of Dallas, Texas and Pauline Terrell and husband, Floyd of Plano, Texas; and many other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Gibbs.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during a visitation Monday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.at the funeral home.
