Wilbert T. Jones, Jr., (Billy) 23, of Huntsville, died Tuesday in Guntersville, AL, from injuries received in an automobile accident.
The funeral was to be today at 2:30 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was to be in Valhalla Cemetery. The Rev. John Hogan was to officiate.
Mr. Jones served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Helen Elaine (Myers) Burks Jones; a son, Wilbert T. Jones, III (Little Billy) of Huntsville; a step-daughter, Miss Sandra Lynn Burks of Huntsville; his parents, Wilbert Turman Jones and Mary Justine (Everett) Jones of Huntsville; a brother, William Joseph Jones, Camp Pendleton, CA; five sisters, Mrs. Betty Cooper of Huntsville, Mrs. Mary Jo Ikard and Mrs. Janet Franks, both of New Hope, Mrs. Shirley Martin of Colorado Springs, CO, and Mrs. Marion Craig of Gurley; and his grandmother, Mrs. Mattie Jones of Tappahannock, VA.

Billy and Helen were married July 29, 1973 at his parents home in Madison Co, AL.
