Kenneth Earl Kennedy a.k.a. “Pops”, passed away June 10, 2018 at the age of 83. Born Nov 16, 1934 in Rosebud, South Dakota to Susan Amelia Emery Kennedy and William Jefferson Kennedy. He married Virginia Rose Townsend (who preceded him in death), they lived a happy life for 43 yrs. together and with that union four beautiful girls were born. As a truck driver for more than 50 yrs., he loved to be on the road only to pass away doing what he loved most, traveling with family. A wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he will be greatly missed by all.
Survived by his children; Christina (David) Winn, Kimberly Kennedy, Yvonne Kennedy (Gary Bunn), and Darla Kennedy, brothers and sisters; Tom Kennedy, George Kennedy, Ann Mapes, Terry Marvicka, Thersa Bassett, Vanita Teague, and Deloris Ellis, grandchildren; Michael Colaizzi, Christopher Izatt, LaTosha Payne, Kenneth Colaizzi, Nicolas Izatt, and Brittani (Zhahquan) Kee as well as 10 great-grandchildren and a host of very close family and friends. Services will be at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road on June 18, 2018 with a viewing at 12:00, service 2:00 and grave side burial to follow at 3:00 pm.
