Shirley Anne Holm was born December 8, 1937 in Conde, SD to Virgil Holm and Eva (Wettstein) Holm. Shirley attended school in Conde and Orient, SD before graduating from Miller High School in 1955.
On May 9, 1960 Shirley married Terrance Jungwirth at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Zell. To this union five children were born. Shirley and Terrance farmed near Zell. Shirley held various jobs, but most of all was blessed to be able to stay home and raise her children. She enjoyed things on the farm from raising pigs, geese and chickens to gardening.
Shirley also enjoyed crocheting, puzzles, playing cards and bowling. Family was very important to Shirley and in later years, she enjoyed family gatherings, visits and phone calls from her children, grandchildren, family and friends. Shirley also enjoyed her TV programs and her Kindle where she stayed connected with family and friends.
Shirley was a member of St. Mary's Altar Society.
Shirley is survived by her children: Tim (Jodi) Jungwirth, Tulare, SD; Kim (John) Fanning, St. Lawrence, SD; Karla (Kevin) O'Daniel, Zell, SD; and daughter-in-law Delila Jungwirth, Ashton, SD. Shirley is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; her sister Margaret Moncur, Miller, SD; and her brother Charles (Maxine) Holm, Rapid City, SD.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Terry; her son Jerry; infant son Todd; and her sister Pat Haider.
