Sam E. Wilson, 92, a resident of Pelahatchie, MS passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11am June 16, 2018 at Leesburg Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:30-8 pm Friday, June 15, 2018 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton.



Mr. WIlson was a native of Rankin County, MS. He was the son of Edward L. Wilson and Sally Mae Bates Wilson. He was married to Sue King Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a farmer and worked many years before retiring. He enjoyed gardening, working with the volunteer fire department, hunting and listening to the dogs running. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He loved his family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.



Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by

his first wife, Nonie Pearl Coward Wilson and

his parents, Edward L. Wilson and Sally Mae Bates Wilson.

his wife, Sue King Wilson;

daughter, Rhonda (David) Sparkman;

step daughters, Rita (Danny) Lee and Sherry (Print) Matthews;

Tommie (John) Rees, Teressa (Ricky) Horton and Janet (Jimmy) Robinson;

sister, Jewel Wilson Bates;

grandchildren, John Wilson (Devon Rogers) Bilbro and Hayden Attley Bilbro;

many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
