Funeral services for Ed Wilson, 73, of Route 1, Pelahatchie, were held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Leesburg Baptist church with the Rev. Maurice Wicker and Rev. Jack Farmer officiating. Interment was made in the Leesburg Cemetery with Ott & Lee Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Wilson died at the Madison General Hospital in Canton on Monday following a short illness. He was a lifelong resident of Rankin County, a member of the Leesburg Baptist Church, and a retired farmer.

The survivors are his wife, Mrs. Sallie Mae Wilson; one daughter, Mrs. Paul Bates of Canton; one son, Sam Wilson of Rt. 1, Pelahatchie; three grandchildren; two brothers, Elmo and Hillard Wilson both of Rt. 2, Morton; one sister, Mrs. Lela Measells of Rt. 1, Pelahatchie; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The pallbearers were Odis Wilson, Tod Joyner, Herbert Windham, Robert Lee Franklin, Earl Aycock, Duane Aycock, Lee Crayen, and W.E. Franklin.
