Came to the USA in 1935.

US Marine Corps, First Marine Division, WWII, PTO including the Battle of Peleliu and Battle of Okinawa.

Earned a football scholarship to THE Ohio State University but entered WWII instead. At the end of WWII, he was offered to be sent to OCS but instead went to the Buckeyes and played football. QB 1947-1949 including under Coach Wes Fesler in 1949 on the "Comeback Kids" team that won the Big Ten Championship by playing that "Blue Team Up North' which lead them to winning the Buckeyes 1st ever Rose Bowl Game. Drafted by the Green Bay Packers but declined to play pro-ball.

Partner with Buckeye Teammate David Templeton, Twyman-Templeton which became Twyman Safety,

Co-Founder with Jack Nicklaus, Bob Hoag, and Ivor Young of Muirfield Village Golf Club.
