Early Life: She was born July 26, 1939, in Burley, Idaho, to Loren William and Virginia Margueritte Foster Nichols . She joined a family of four siblings: Carolyn, Loren Jr., Maxine and Gloria. She graduated from Burley High School in 1957.

Life's Work | Service | Interests: She attended Brigham Young University where she participated with the dance team and majored in drama studies. She moved to Los Angeles where she worked for Tennessee Ernie Ford on The Ford Show and pursued her dreams. She met and married Dale Symes in 1967. The lived in California, moved to Pocatello, then Idaho Falls, later, Albuquerque, New Mexico; Hickory, North Carolina; and finally retired in Phoenix, Arizona. She had a firm testimony of the gospel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which she imparted to her children and grandchildren. She dutifully served in many callings, including service in the Albuquerque New Mexico Temple, Relief Society president and nursery worker. She will be missed greatly by her family for her compassion to her grandchildren and zest and zeal for her creative pursuits. She was courageous in her final years as she dealt with progressive supranuclear palsy and the decline in her health. Carma Sue Nichols Symes passed from this life on June 9, 2018. She was 78.

Survived By: Her husband, Dale; her sons: Brian Symes, of Pheonix; Dain (Ingrid) Symes, of Albuquerque; and Steven Symes, of Murray; her daughters: Natalie (Travis) Healy, of Lehi; and Heather (Anthony) Amador, of Phoenix; as well as 17 grandchildren.

Preceded In Death By: Her parents and siblings. Oh, what a reunion they're having...!
