Joan is survived by Francis, her husband of 66 years; children, David (Christine) , Virginia Caston, Karen (Robert) Nowak, William (Elizabeth) and Richard (Lisa); son-in-law, Adrian Rand; grandchildren, Brian, Daniel, Matthew, Lindsey, Allison, Laura, Sara and Caroline; sister, Margaret (John) Wegman; sisters-in-law, Sr. Joan Kunz and Marjorie Kunz; brother-in-law, Robert Kunz; and many nieces and nephews.
Joan was born and raised in Rochester, New York. She was a graduate of Our Lady of Mercy High School and worked for Taylor Instrument Company of Rochester. She married Francis and moved to Syracuse, New York. After 16 years, the family moved to Pittsford, New York where Joan and Francis lived for 49 years. She worshipped at St. Louis in Pittsford, was active at Barker Road Elementary School and worked for Sibleys/Kaufmans in Victor, New York.
Viewing for family and friends will be on Monday from 4-7 PM at Michael R. Yackiw Funeral Home, 1650 Empire Blvd., Webster. Friends and family are invited to St. Louis Catholic Church, 64 S. Main St, Pittsford, where a Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday at 1:15 PM. Private interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
