Robert Dennis Brown, Jr, 61, passed away June 4, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. He was born March 31, 1957, in Carlsbad, New Mexico, to Robert and Beulah (Bandy) Brown.
Denny grew up in Carlsbad, New Mexico. He graduated from Carlsbad Senior High School in Carlsbad in 1975. He worked for Easy Living, Inc. as a Program Coordinator where he enjoyed working for almost 10 years.
Denny attended Venture Church where he loved working the Parking Lot Ministry. He was an advisor for the Springfield Chapter of People First for adults with disabilities. He also enjoyed Mexican food, camping, the outdoors, horses and many other animals; especially his beloved dogs, Pepper and Rusty.
Denny is survived by his siblings, Pamela Ellis and husband Gary; Steve Brown and wife Kristen, Mary Brown Tobin and husband Curtis; and his lifelong best friend, Becky Johnson. Denny will be loved and missed by his many nieces and nephews; Kenny and Mindy Ellis, Lorrie and Mark Stanberry, Jimmy and Christina Brown, Chase Brown, Megan and Bud Cloud, Randy and Roxanne Brown, Dylan, Caitlyn and Cameryn Davy and Kevin Brown; and great-nieces and nephews, Makenzie and Jonah Linski, Christian, Ryan and Addison Ellis, Hunter, Cody, and Hannah Brown, Aiden and Jase Brown, Jacob Asbury and Carson Cloud.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Beulah Brown; and brother, Charles Brown.
Visitation will be held from 3-4 PM, Saturday, June 16, with funeral services following at 4 PM, in the Venture Church, 1701 S Fort Ave, Springfield. Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services.
