Maysville - David Thomas Best, 82, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Meadowview Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Best was born in Augusta December 4, 1935 to the late Thomas Wendell and Mary Fern Bachman Best. He was a 1954 graduate of Maysville High School, attended Eastern Kentucky University, was a member of Seddon United Methodist Church and retired after 45 years at Browning Manufacturing Division Emerson Electric Company. David served his country honorably in the US Army from 1958 to 1964.
Survivors include his son John (Mary Anna) Best of Maysville; his daughter Jennifer (John Brad) Brown of Lexington; 3 granddaughters, Kailey Best, Kelsey Brown, and Anna Mae Best; 3 grandsons, Joshua Guy, Jonathan Best, and Kurtis Brown.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Rosemary Best, who passed away June 13, 2015.
Services for David Best will be at 3:00 p.m., Thursday June 14, 2018 at Seddon United Methodist Church with Pastor Jeremy Ruegg officiating. Burial will follow in the Maysville Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Thursday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mason County Marching Royals Band.
