He was born March 23, 1942. His father was Millard Edwards. His mother is Alma (Kimberlin) Edwards of Tennessee. He married Brenda (Brown) Edwards. She survives.

He was employed for 36 years by Ford Motor Co. in Indianapolis as an assembly worker. He was a member of United Auto Workers Local 1111.
Services were entrusted to Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East Mortuary in Indianapolis, Indiana.
