Suggested edit: Cathy D. Paxton-White, 55, of Independence, Mo., passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 3, 2014.
Cathy was born August 6, 1958, in St. Louis, Mo. She was one of four children to Cy and Betty (Eatherton) Leible. A lifelong Independence resident, she attended nativity grade School and St. Mary's High School. She was a receptionist for Meiklejohn Stone Clinic and later became a caregiver for homebound elderly patients. She was always happy spending time with friends and neighbors. Most of all, she was a devoted mother and grandmother, she had so much love in her heart for all of them. They were her greatest joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Kevin Paxton; second husband, Ron White; and Dorothy and Jay Paxton.
She was survived by her son, Eric Paxton of Holden, Mo.; daughter, Shelly Renee Goble and husband, Patrick, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; brothers, Chris Leible and wife, Sherri, of Lee's Summit, Mo., Craig Leible of Overland Park, Kan.; sister, Cheryl Mansker and husband, Sam, of Overland Park, Kan.; and grandchildren, Spencer, Serena, Soren, Sutton and Stiles Goble.
Funeral mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 9, 2014 at St. John LaLande Catholic Church, 801 N.W. R.D. Mize Road, Blue Springs, Mo., by Father Ron Elliott. Visitation was one hour prior to the mass at the church.
