Cy Leo Leible, 81, of Blue Springs, MO, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Kansas City Hospice House.

Cy was born July 16, 1928 in Perryville, MO., to Wilhelmenia and Leo. He served in the US Army in Korea during the Korean Conflict. After his service, he married Betty Eatherton in 1955 and was transferred to Kansas City as a salesman for Eco Lab in the 60's where he raised his family. In the early 70's, he was attracted to the Ozarks where he built his dream lake house and started Sunrise Dock, Inc. and Betlo Trailer Park. Cy was a member of the American Legion Post 624 for many years. After retirement, he enjoyed his odd jobs of wheeling and dealing and his travels between St. Louis, Kansas City, and the Lake of the Ozarks. He had a passion for antique cars, including his '49 Chrysler Town and Country convertible, which he successfully completed the restoration. Throughout his years at the Ozarks, he created many life- long friendships. Cy was a devoted husband, loving father, and caring grandpa.

His survivors included two sons, Craig Leible of Olathe, KS, and Chris Leible & wife, Sherri, of Lee's Summit, MO; two daughters, Cheryl Mansker & husband, Sam, of Leawood, KS, and Cathy White- Paxton, of Independence, MO; brothers, Joseph Leible, Valentine Leible, Leo Leible; sisters, Irma Snyder, Theresa Summers; eight grandchildren: Scott, Stacy, Eric, Shelly, Connor, Lauren, Reed, Paige; nine step grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, and special neighbors, Jeff, Jenny, and Lilly Rose.
