Rita Ann Hicks, 76, of Lafayette, IN, passed away on June 9, 2018 at Franciscan East Hospital.
She was born on August 9, 1941 in Lafayette to Emmett Simpson and Mary (Rohler) Simpson.
Her marriage was to Lester Hicks on October 7, 1961 in Lafayette, IN.
Rita was a homemaker, seamstress and a crafts person. She loved baking, cooking, anything to do with bling, her favorite color was blue, she loved company, camping, loved her family, and loved diet Coke. She also loved wintering in Florida with her husband.
Rita attended Central Catholic High School and graduated in 1959.
Rita is survived by her husband; three children; one sister; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Donna Ubelhor; and three infant brothers.

Interment will follow at Tippecanoe Memorial Gardens in West Lafayette, IN.
