He was born Nov. 6, 1947, to Oscar L. Myers Sr. and Dorothy Turner Myers.
He was the owner and operator of Tommy's Auto Sales.
His father and a sister, Polly Whitehead of Thomasville, preceded him in death. Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Myers of Winston-Salem, Forsyth County; two sons, Tommy Myers Jr. and Jesse Myers, both of the home; six sisters, Mary Williams, Martha Pridgen and Betty Marion, all of Winston-Salem, Lyn Marshall of Germanton, Carolyn Hall of Charlotte, and Nancy Archie of Mooresville.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 8, at Memorial Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at Dover Baptist Church Cemetery in Taylorsville. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 this evening at Memorial Funeral Chapel, 5980 Kinney Road. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
