Raymond Howard Powers was born on Oct 17, 1946 to Ruben Turner and Ruby Irene (Lawrence) Powers in Carnegie, Oklahoma. He passed away on June 3, 2018 at the age of 71 at his home in Flower Mound, Texas.

At the age of 5 the family moved to Olton, Texas where he grew up and made his home until 1987.

He graduated in 1964 from Olton High School and later married his wife of 51 years, Debra Katherine Sherry on Dec 9, 1966.

He owned Raymond's Auto Supply and Co-owner of Rube and Son's Irrigation and Automotive Garage there in Olton.
He served several years on the Olton City Council and was a member of the Olton Volunteer Fire Department. He was also a founding member of the Olton Volunteer Ambulance Association and coached youth baseball for many years.

He and Debra moved to the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex in 1987 and has resided in Flower Mound the past 15 years.

For many years he was involved in residential and Commercial construction but transitioned to Facilities Management in the home security business for the last 20 years until his retirement from ADT Security in 2016. The last 2 years he spent enjoying his family and his grandkids until the Lord took him home.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents Ruben and Ruby Powers, one brother Leroy Powers and twin grandbabies, Jack Ryan and Emma Cate Powers.

He is survived by his wife Debra of the home in Flower Mound, Texas.

Two Sons; Damon and wife Andrea, Robin and wife Lori all of Flower Mound.

One Daughter; Jennifer of Denton, Texas.

One Brother; Rusty Powers and wife Missy from Plainview, Texas.

One Sister; Dianne Cotton of Olton, Texas.

Four Grandchildren; Camy, Rex, Allie, and Finn all of Flower Mound.

One Sister-in-Law; Patti Powers of Canyon, Texas and many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless other relatives and friends.

A service to celebrate Raymond's life will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June, 9 2018, with a time of visitation, taking place, from 1-2PM, just prior to the service, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home at 740 S. Edmonds Land, Lewisville, Texas.
