Jeff Wendell Turner, age 82, of Florala, Alabama, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017, at his residence on Open Pond Road. He was born in Florala, Alabama, on April 30, 1935, to Moses Andrew and Rosa Edwards Turner. He was engaged in farming and raising cattle during his lifetime.
A veteran of the US Navy, he was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed many hours doing so. Nothing was more important to Jeff than family, being a loving husband, and dad and paw paw to his children and grandchildren.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Moses Andrew and Rosa Edwards Turner; and his son, Jack Turner.
Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, one son, one daughter, five grandchildren, and his beloved dog, Jenny.
Funeral: 3:00pm, Monday, September 4, 2017, from Evans Funeral Home, with Reverend Johnny White officiating.
Visitation: one hour prior to funeral service.
Grave side service: at Shiloh Cemetery.
