Graveside services for Marianne H. Forester, 88, of Wakulla County FL, are at 1 o'clock on Thursday, June 7, 2018, at the Leesburg Cemetery in Leesburg, GA.

Mrs. Forester passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, May 30, 2018.

Mrs. Forester was born in Attapulgus, GA on January 26, 1930 to the late HW and Macye Hewett. She moved to Cairo, GA as a teenager and graduated from Cairo High School. She was on the cheerleader squad for the 1946 State Championship Cairo High football team. On June 11, 1949, she married Elmer Forester, who preceded her in death in 2009.

During Mrs. Forester's full life, she enjoyed square dancing, playing bridge, camping, collecting depression glass, riding her horse, the beach, the mountains, cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs, and most of all, spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and her dogs.

Survivors include: 3 sons; 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; brothers, James Hewett, HW Hewett, Jr, Lee Hewett; sisters, Bettye H. Thrower, Jane H. Gavlick; and an infant grandson, Lynn Harley Forester and infant grandson.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Bevis Funeral Home in Crawfordville, FL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Forester's name to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308.
