LOWVILLE – Frances A. McIntyre, 97, passed away Friday evening, June 1, 2018 at Lewis County General Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Iseneker Funeral Home Inc., with Rev. Jay Seymour, officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Bremen. A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lewis County Humane Society P.O. Box 682 Lowville, NY 13367.

She is survived by her four children; Harold McIntyre of Lowville, James McIntyre of Utica, Shirley (Loren) Waldron of Castorland, Douglas (Sylvia) McIntyre of Evans Mills; 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Doris Myles of South Carolina, Joan Santora of Virginia, Beverly of California; 2 brothers, Walter and Marylou Rubar of New Hampshire, Bernard Rubar of Lowville; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is predeceased by a son, David McIntyre; a daughter, Doris Woodhouse; 2 brothers, Gerald and Niles Rubar; and a sister Jean Caposhia.

Frances was born on March 18, 1921 in the Town of New Bremen, a daughter of the late Fred and Arletha Lomber Rubar. She married Joseph McIntyre and raised her family. She worked at Graham’s Five and Dime and Lloyd’s of Lowville before going to work at Beaverite Products in Beaver Falls for 32 years, until her retirement.
