Annie Marie Duck was born in Deer Grove, Illinois to John Agar Duck and Sarah Ann O'Neill. Her parents emigrated from England in 1869. Several children were born in Illinois, before the family relocated to Eddy County, North Dakota.

Annie Marie met George Joseph Abresch, possibly in Eddy County, and they married in 1905. At least one son was born to them, Charles Joseph Abresch, in Eddy County in 1906.
George J. Abresch may have died in 1927 in Minnesota, in the area where he was born. I have not confirmed if this is the same George yet.

Several of Annie's siblings came to Seattle, Washington, and it is believed that she followed them to Seattle, after George died.
