Sonya Colleen Thomas of Belleview passed away on April 28, 2017 in Festus. She was 51.

She was born on June 26, 1965 in Potosi, the daughter of the late Virginia Marie Thomas.

Sonya is survived by her Aunt Ann Queen of Pilot Knob, her Aunt Melba Thomas of Ironton, her significant other, Tom Kitchell of Ironton, several cousins and many, many friends.

Sonya was a 1984 graduate of Arcadia Valley High School. She was a member of Belleview United Methodist Church. She was employed by Belleview R-3 Schools. Sonya loved children and she enjoyed her job at the school. She liked flowers, county fairs and the 4th of July celebration.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 4 at 11a.m. from Bryson Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Skaggs officiating. Visitation was on Wednesday evening from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Interment was in Thomas Cemetery.
