Early Life: Arthur was born April 9, 1935, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Albert Mikesell and Edna Wilson Mikesell. Arthur became a resident of Tooele, Utah, at the age of six.
Life’s Work | Service | Interests: Art retired from the Tooele Army Depot after 35 years of service. He was an avid fisherman and expressed his love of nature in his many beautiful paintings and the twisted scrub mahogany lamps he crafted. Art proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War and served faithfully at Cornerstone Baptist Church for 29 years. Arthur M. "Art" Mikesell went home to be with the Lord December 17, 2014, with his loving wife by his side after battling Parkinson's for 18 years.
Survived By: The love of his life and wife, Ellen; his children: Garrett Riley (Lisa), Cara Lee Riley, Cynthia Gillette (Ephraim), Kathryn Johnson (Rick), and Patricia Albers (Randy); 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; his twin sister, Arlene M. Larson (Laren); sister, Jane Copley; and 12 nieces and nephews.
