Early Life: Charlotte was born January 29, 1950, in Eureka, California, the daughter of Harrell Lloyd and Joseven Murray Manning, the second of their seven children. Charlotte graduated from Mount Shasta High School in 1968.
Life’s Work | Service | Interests: She married and had one child, Christine Elaine Baker Ewing, of Eugene, Oregon. Charlotte was a strong, independent woman who showed that everyday of her life. She loved her family, horses, dogs and flowers. She was an artist who was named New Mexico artist of the year. She created beautiful bronzes. She was the owner of Eastern New Mexico Glass in Clovis. For many years, Charlotte sponsored and participated in the Special Olympics. Her horses, Beavis and Buster, were legendary! They were also the inspiration for her business Beavis and Buster Horse Treats. She bred and trained horses. One of the horses was Val Kilmer’s horse in the movie Tombstone. She was an expert! In 2005, Charlotte joined sister, Sharon, and brother-in-law, Ralph, in Montana. She was active with the Foxtrotters Association, Backcountry Horsemen. She loved to ride!

Survived By: Her daughter, Christine Elaine Baker Ewing, Eugene, OR; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; Larry King; her horse, Beavis; dogs: Clarabelle and Bandit; sisters and brothers: Sharon Johnson, of Stevensville, MT; Shirley Nelson, Alaska; David Manning, CA; Christine Manning, George Manning and Janet Manning, all of Alaska; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; special friends: Tiffany, Ryland and Lynda Cardenas.
