Eric accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He is currently a member of Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church in Los Angeles, California.
Eric attended Admiral King High School and graduated in 1980.While attending Admiral King; he helped lead Admiral King to its first Berth in the State tournament and was enshrined into the Lorain Sports Hall of Fame in 2014. Eric's success continued collegially at Capital University where he received his Bachelor's degree in Communication in 1984.
Eric was later inducted into Capital University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2011.
Eric moved to Los Angeles, California in the late 1980's and was employed by Fox Sports for over 19 years. In addition, he worked for the Los Angeles Dodgers as a jumbotron operator and for UCLA football and basketball as a statistician.
Eric was full of life, love and laughter. He had a passion for all sports (Go CAVS!), traveling (Las Vegas), good music (R&B and jazz), good food (mushrooms and tofu) and the beach.
On March 3, 2017, Eric received his "Angel Wings" while surrounded by family and friends.
Eric loved his family so much! He leaves to cherish his memory daughters Kymberlee and Candis (his pride and joy) and their mother Kathryn Fersner of Carson, CA. his parents Richard and Juanita Morrison of Lorain, OH. Sisters: Phyllis Morrison of Lorain, OH; Cynthia (Melvin) McDowell of Akron, OH and Lisa Green of Westlake, OH. Nephews -Justin and Brandon McDowell of Akron, OH; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and his loving companion Kimberly Dandridge who was by his side through it all. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Walter and Inez Morrison and his maternal grandparents James and Dorothy Moye.
Funeral services will be Saturday March 11, 2017 at 11am at worship Cathedral Inc., 2428 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44055.
Services entrusted to Brown Robinson Funeral Home, 2652 Broadway Avenue, Lorain.
