WEISETH – Esther Lillian (1921 – 2017), beloved wife of Julian Weiseth passed away peacefully in Swift Current, Saskatchewan on Thursday, June 29, at the age of 95. A memorial celebration service for family and friends will be held at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Swift Current, Saskatchewan on Friday, July 7, at 2:00 p.m. There will be a private family burial on a later date.
She was predeceased by her parents Jacob and Ellen Lindland, son Dale Weiseth, brother George Lindland, and sisters Gudrun Merkel and Ruth Svenson. Esther was born in Jenner, Alberta in 1921. She took her schooling in her home town of Jenner. After high school, Esther attended business college in Calgary. She first worked in Calgary and then in Banff. On the weekends, Esther went to Calgary and attended church there. She met Julian as they sang together in the choir. She quickly became his sweetheart and they were married on April 9, 1949.
