Shreveport - Philip Wayne Wilson, 85, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018. A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Osborn Funeral Home, with a service to follow at 11:00 am in the chapel of Osborn. Entombment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery.
He is survived by his sons, Mark (Debbie) Wilson of Atlanta, Texas; Greg (Teresa) Wilson of Sugar Land, Texas; and Mike Wilson of Louisville, Kentucky. Also, grandchildren, Ashley (Brandon) Greenwood of New Boston, Texas; Amanda (Micah) Harp of Texarkana, Texas; Chase (Robin) Wilson of Houston, Texas; and Taylor Wilson of Sugar Land, Texas.; great grandchildren, Tye and Zoey Greenwood, Annabelle, Sadie and Caroline Harp and Collin Wilson; and a brother, Emerice (Marie) Wilson of Houston, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Mary Alice Wilson.
He was born in Sayre, Alabama, to E.L and Clema Wilson. He worked 38 years for International Paper and was a member of Broadmoor Baptist Church. He was a wonderful father and husband and a good provider. He had a good sense of humor that kept the family laughing. He will be sorely missed.
Pallbearers will be his three sons, Mark, Greg and Mike; grandsons, Chase and Taylor; and Micah Harp and Brandon Greenwood.
Mark, Greg and Mike would like to express their deep gratitude to Quida and Charles who sat with Dad the past 15 months. They made him comfortable, met his needs and gave us great peace of mind that he was well taken care of.
