Avionics Master Chief Harold Williams, USN Ret., 74, passed away peacefully, comforted by family in his home on 25 May, 2018. Harold, or “Willie” as he is known to his shipmates, is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Brendolyn Williams; his daughters Varanda Phillips and Racquel Johnson; his son- in-laws Christopher Phillips and Troy Johnson; his grandchildren Alec Phillips and Taylor Phillips, to whom he was their beloved “Papa”; his sister Mary “Lynette” Davis. Harold will also be forever remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, dear friends and shipmates.

Harold was born in Atlanta GA on September 26th, 1943 to the late Darnell Monday. Upon graduation from high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy where he faithfully served his country in the field of Aviation Maintenance. He retired from the Navy as an Avionics Master Chief after 30 years of devoted service. After retirement, he continued to serve his country as a civil servant at Fleet Readiness Center Southwest. Harold was loved and respected by all who knew him. He will be dearly missed by those he leaves behind.

Visitation will be held at El Camino Memorial - Sorrento Valley on June 8th, 2018 between 4-8pm. A memorial service in honor of AVCM Williams will be held aboard the USS Midway Museum on June 9th, 2018 at 10:00am. The burial will take place at Miramar National Cemetery on June 11th, 2018 at 9:30am.
