Daughter of William T. and Hannah Matilda Stull Berry. She married James Emory Pennington January 11, 1891.

Emma Pennington, 90, of Johnsonville has died. She was the daughter of William and Matilda Berry born January 7, 1872. Burial in Wesley Chapel. She married James E. Pennington in 1891. They had 8 children. One daughter, Gracie, died in infancy. A son Eldon died December 13, 1934 aged 22, and her husband died January 10, 1944. She leaves two sons, Bert and James of Johnsonville and four daughters, Dicy Linthicum of St. Louis, Essie Brown of Flora, Pearl McMahon of Chicago and Cleo Grubb of Cisne. She also leaves a half brother, Clarence Powles of St. Louis and a half sister, Julia Wagner of Norwalk, California.
