Frances M. Forbes
Frances M. Forbes, 64, of Spring Grove, died Thursday, June 1, 2000, at her home. She was the wife of William E. Forbes for 44 years.
Born June 18, 1935, in Manheim Township, she was a daughter of Aaron D. Rohrbaugh of Hanover, and the late Mary C. (Warner) Rohrbaugh.
She was a homemaker, and had helped her husband farm in the Codorus Township area near Jefferson for many years. She was a member of United Church of Christ Congregation of St. Jacob's (Stone) Church, where she was also a member of the Sunday school.
Surviving also is a son, Jeffery A. Forbes of Spring Grove; four sisters, Virginia M. Sterner of Hanover, Nancy L. Dickmyer and Sandra A. Spangler, both of Spring Grove, Marlene A. Henry of New Oxford; a brother, James H. Rohrbaugh of Hanover, and two grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Jacob's (Stone) Church, Stone Church Road, Glenville, with her pastor, the Rev. George O. Butz, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Geiple Funeral Home Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock.
