Daughter of Ralph Silver and Rebecca Percy, wife of John Batcham and mother of Addie (married Nathan M. Morehhouse), Alma (married Iby) and Elizabeth (married Nathan A. Douglas).

Obituary - Minerva A. Batcham- Another of the older residents of the community has passed to her eternal home in the death of Mrs. Minerva A. Batcham, which occurred on Friday of last week at her home just east of the village. Mrs. Batcham had been in failing health for some time, and while her full recovery to health was not considered among the possibilities, still the news of her death was learned with profound sorrow by a wide circle of intimate friends.

The deceased was born in the town of Chateaugay, eighty-three years ago, her maiden name being Minerva A. Silver. After her marriage to Mr. Batcham, they removed to Wisconsin where they resided for about ten years. Later on they went to Holyoke, Mass, at which latter place they made their home for upwards of twenty years. Mrs. Batcham was then removed to Chateaugay where she has since resided. She was a woman of home loving tendencies, and devoted her lifetime to those near and dear to her, and a mother's tender care and loving ministrations are pleasant memories to those who survive. She was held in the highest regard as a neighbor and friend, and her demise is mourned by all.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Addie Morehouse, of Stevens Point, Wis., Mrs. Alma Iby, of Morrisville, N.Y., and Mrs. N.A. Douglas of Chateaugay, as well as a granddaughter, Miss Myrtle McDonald. One sister, Mrs. Charles Crawford, of Malone, and three brothers, S.M. Silver, of Chateaugay, C.D. Silver, of Plattsburgh, and C.W. Silver, of East Hampton, also survive.

Funeral services were held at her late home on Monday afternoon, Rev. G.H. Williams officiating.
