FURMAN - Gladys A. (Peterson), 91, Somerset formerly of Acosta, passed away May 23, 2018, after an extended illness at her daughters home in Hanover, PA surrounded by her loving family. Born August 13, 1926 in Boswell. Daughter of Charles and Louise (Cholewa) Peterson. Preceded in death by parents; husband of 47 yrs., Andrew H. , Feb. 13, 1995; brothers Ray, Bob, Don, Dick and Millard Peterson and sister Helen Kaminski. Survived by brother Dave and wife Doris Jane, Longview, TX; daughters Margie married to Michael Fink, Hanover and Sally married to Michael Ramirez, Trinity, FL; grandchildren Brian Fink and wife April, Littlestown, PA; Jennifer Bell and husband Steven, Greensburg and April Curtis and husband Jeremy, Bristow, VA; great grandchildren; Cullen Watson; Gavin and Palmer Bell and Claire and Michael Curtis; sister-in-laws Glenda Kay Peterson, Stoystown; Elaine Peterson, Concord , VT.; Helen Bodziak and Rose Tulenko, both of Latrobe; brother-in-law, Bill Fisher, Hollsopple and numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly. Longtime employee of the Pine Grill Restaurant, Somerset. She enjoyed cooking and baking and was known by many as The Peach Pie Lady. Member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Boswell. Viewing from 2-4 and 6-8PM Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main St., Boswell. Viewing also from 10AM until time of service 11AM Wednesday at the Covenant Presbyterian Church, Pastors Mike Dunlap and James Stobaugh officiating. Interment Jenner Crossroads Cemetery.
