Daniel 'Dan' Elton Harmon, 68, of Spartanburg, SC, died Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at his home.

Born December 6, 1949, in Lexington, SC, son of the late Harvey Jennings Harmon and Mertie Loraine Kaiser Black.

Received his BA Degree from the University of South Carolina; a self-employed writer and member of Skylyn Drive Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Sherie Cone Harmon; daughters, Courtney Kimball (David) of Rock Hill, SC, Jessica Manner (Banks) of Charlotte, NC, and Alison Manner of Greenville, SC; five grandchildren, Adelaide, Coleman, Harper, Virginia, and Hazel Rose; and brothers, John Clayton, Samuel, Joel, and Paul Harmon.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Harvey Jennings Harmon Jr. and Charles Harmon.

A service honoring his memory was conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 26, 2018, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by The Rev. Peter Waid.

Visitation followed the service at the Chapel.

Memorials could be made to Skylyn Drive Presbyterian Church, 1801 Skylyn Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29307; or Miracle Hill Ministries, PO Box 2456, Greenville, SC 29602.
