Cecil H. Maxwell, 63, of Cambridge, died Saturday (March 31, 2007) at Southeastern Med.
He was born Feb. 5, 1944, in Coleman, Texas, son of the late William Thomas Maxwell and Lois (Holder) Maxwell.
Following his education, Mr. Maxwell worked for a machining company in Watkin Glenn, N.Y., MAC Inc., MacDonald Anderson Co. Inc. He later worked as a driller in the petroleum industry with JL Coats Drilling Inc. and Jeb Drilling Inc., both in Cambridge. He retired after 32 years.
He enjoyed spending time with his friends and playing darts, also working on automobiles.
In his spare time, he read westerns by Louis L'amour and watched John Wayne movies.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Maxwell.
He leaves a brother, Rex G. Maxwell of Cross Plains, Texas; a sister, Billie Maxine (Jim) Lee of Brownwood, Texas; his girlfriend, Juanita F. Trenner of Cambridge; step children, Sherry, Dave, Ron and Brian Trenner; step grandchildren, Ashley, Tiffany, Scott, David, Colleen, Adrienne, Kane and Samantha; step great-grandchildren, Jordan, Hannah and Aallyah; best friends, Ron Harris, Tom Baker, Ray Lynn and Joe Swick, all of Cambridge, Butch and Linda Beard of Dardanelle, Ark.
No calling hours or services will be held.
In keeping with Mr. Maxwell's wishes, cremation has been arranged by Scott-Specht Funeral Home, Cambridge.
