Richard Eugene Ammon Jr., 81, passed away in Winter Park, FL on May 7, 2018. He was born in Cambridge City on July 16,1936 to Richard Eugene Ammon, Sr. and Evelyn D. Haines

Richard joined the US Navy on Jan. 1955, served on 12 different ships and several land tours, retired from the service in 1985 as a Boiler Technician First Class.

Survived by his 2nd wife, Sheila; 2 daughters: Debra (John) Lobley, Pamela Ammon; 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters: Lou Ann Adkins, Lucille Ivey, Dotty Angi; several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Laverne; brothers Paul David Ammon, Gerald Ammon.

Private services--Riverside Cemetery Cambridge City with military honors.
