Joe was quite active in the Kiwanis Clubs of both Addison and then Mt. Morris after his retirement serving in various offices of the group over the years. He always enjoyed people, his welcoming spirit of hospitality was experienced by many. Having friends in for a home cooked meal, traveling (especially to Italy), and reading were some of his hobbies. He was well loved by all whose lives he touched and will definitely leave an emptiness behind.
He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Maryann and Ronald Van Scoter of Arkport, many nephews and nieces whom he enjoyed watching grow up, an extended family of many cousins, and one special cousin, Ron Muchard, who was his exercise and coffee buddy. He was predeceased by his parents, brother Edward and many aunts and uncles.
Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Mt. Morris, N. Y.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to Mt. Morris Kiwanis Club or St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
