Paschal (Pat) Hayden Powell, 83 of Kingston, Oklahoma went to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 13, 2006. He was born in Arlie, Texas to the late John W. Powell and Mora Smith Powell on July 31, 1923.

He joined the United States Air Force on April 13, 1943 and served during WW II. His plane blew up over England and he was shot down in Germany where he was a Prisoner of War and received a Purple Heart. Pat graduated from the Bible Baptist Seminary School in Ft. Worth, Texas. Pat was the pastor of Grace Baptist Church, Newark, Texas; Central Baptist Church, Pasadena, Texas; Shady Acres Baptist Church, Houston, Texas; Liberty Baptist Church, Pasadena, Texas; and Liberty Baptist Church, Kingston, Oklahoma. He married Gwendolyn Darr on March 20, 1981 in Ft. Worth, Texas. He authored 3 books.
