Born August 20, 1923, in Huntsville, MO, Bill was the son of the late Alfred Lovell and Emma Mitchell Lovell. He was a graduate of Huntsville High School and a 1947 graduate of Central Methodist College in Fayette where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in music, a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity (a men’s music fraternity), Central Band and the V-12 Program. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of VFW Post 2646 and American Legion Post 191. On June 3, 1947, he married Widgie Keehart who later divorced. On August 5, 1977, he married J. Voncille Anthony Harrison who survives of the home. He lived in Marshall most of his life and was a member of the First Christian Church. He joined his father-in-law in the operation of Keehart Furniture Store and later became owner and operator of The Vox Box.
In addition to his wife, Voncille, Bill is survived by two children, Linda Neely and husband Lee of Green Ridge and Mitch Lovell and wife Sheila of Marietta, GA; two stepchildren, Chris Harrison and wife Rita of Salinas, CA and Pamela Cincotta and husband Richard of Amityville, NY; three grandchildren, Patrick Lovell, Jeffrey Lovell and Sarah Lovell; four step-grandchildren, Heather Harrison, Tawnya Harrison, Eric Cincotta and Jenna May Cincotta; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by one son, Larry Lovell; and two brothers, Alfred and Gene Lovell.
