Franklin M. Hancock, 91, of Ottumwa died May 12, 2018 at Mercy Hospice House in Johnston.
He was born March 5, 1927 in Floris to James Harrison and Iva Turner Hancock. He married Marjorie Black on October 11, 1947 and she preceded him in death May 29, 1997. He married Mary Cameron Ballew July 29, 2000.
Having served in the U.S. Army during World War II, he farmed in Wapello County most of his life. He worked 35 years for John Deere Ottumwa Works, retiring in 1987.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and U.A.W. Local #74.
Surviving is his wife, Mary and her family.
Private graveside services and burial were held at Shaul Cemetery.
