Born in Greenville County on May 9, 1927, daughter of the late Paul Simpson Poole and Irene Huey Poole; widow of Rudolph Barnett of sixty-nine years.
Member of Jackson Baptist Church where she faithfully served as a Sunday School teacher; retired from Jackson Mills.
Survivors also include a son, Donnie Barnett of Lyman; a daughter, Tena Leonard (Jim) of Duncan; two sisters, Peggy White and Shirley Belue; three grandchildren, Cindy Compton (Michael), Melanie Estes (Vicente Colon), and Jarrod Leonard; and eight great grandchildren.
Predeceased by a brother, Charles Poole; four sisters, Vivian O'Shields, Geneva Waddell, Sarah Martin and Juanita Vaughn. daughter-in-law, Patricia Ramsey Barnett.
The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:15 AM, Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Jackson Baptist Church in Wellford.
A celebration service followed at 11:30 am at the church conducted by Rev. Jim McMakin, and Rev. Frank Bryant. Burial followed at Wood Memorial Park.
Memorials could be made to Jackson Baptist Church, 2668 John Dodd Road, Wellford, SC 29385.
