Mary Lorraine Bunch Clement, better known as “Lorraine” was born July 25, 1926 at Fairfax, the only child of George Daniel and Severy Elizabeth (Butts) Bunch. She received her education in the Fairfax Public School system, graduating with the Red Devil class of 1944.
After graduation, on June 14, 1944, Lorraine married the love of her life, Jack Edwin Clement, in Pawhuska. The couple raised their three children in Fairfax where Lorraine remained after Jack’s passing on April 24, 1993.
She was a homemaker, an artist, and enjoyed tracing the family’s genealogy.
Lorraine belonged to the First United Methodist Church, Fairfax Historical Society and was instrumental in establishing the Fairfax Art Association. She spent many tireless hours volunteering with the Historical Society in maintaining the Museum at the old First State Bank building and also volunteered her time at the Fairfax City Library.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Graveside services will be held at 2 pm on Monday, May 7, at the Fairfax City Cemetery with Pastor, George Weston, officiating. Burial will follow under the care of Hunsaker-Wooten Funeral Home of Fairfax.
