Emma Frances Stith Marcum went to be with her Lord and Savior May 15, 2018 in the little town of Custer where she was raised.
She was born to Willard Lewis and Jeannette Lee Harned Stith on September 30, 1948, in Hardinsburg Ky. She loved spending time in the country with her life long friend, George Whitworth and her precious furbaby, "Sweetcakes". She enjoyed her family Holidays and NHHS 1966 Classmates whom she recently had the opportunity to be reacquainted.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Fred Marcum, brothers Lewis Leon Stith, Willard Larry Stith, Garry Leo Stith and Franklin Ethridge Stith.
She is survived by two sons; Chuck Allen Marcum of Louisville and Larry Scott Marcum (Lisa) of Floyd Knobs IN. 6 grandchildren, Lucille Rose Marcum of Louisville KY and Nicholas Marcum of Floyd Knobs IN. Scott Allen Ita, Kayla Renae Ita, Lindsay Perdue and Jessica Pepper. 8 great grandchildren and Mother-in-law Mrs Betty Marcum of Louisville, KY., also survive. Clara Rose Harned of Ashland, KY also survive as the only living aunt.
Two sisters; Willnetta Lee Stith Lewis (Danny) of Sun City Center, FL and Annetta Lynn Stith Martin (Rois) of Elizabethtown, KY.
Emma was a survivor of Esophageal Cancer and was living with her niece, Tonya & Dale Wilbur in Radcliff during her re-cooperation process. Also helping with her caregiving was her great niece, Kiegan Dayle Wilbur. Nieces and Nephews surviving include Maura Gerard (Don) of Bowling Green, KY., Michelle (Walt) of Summerville, SC., Garry Lewis (Cheryle) of Myrtle Beach, Kenny Mattingly (Deb) of Elizabethtown, Great niece Jordyn Mattingly who loved her dearly. Sisters in Law, Virginia Stith (Leon) of Kell, Ill, Sonja Stith (Larry) of Summerville, SC. and Grace Stith (Garry) of Myrtle Beach, SC.
Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg on Tuesday May 22, 2018 at 11am CST Burial will follow in the Custer Cemetery. Visitation will he held on Monday, May 21, 2018 from 4-8pm CST and Tuesday after 8am CST. An Eastern Star service will be held on Monday at 6pm. CST.
