Lewis "Leon" Stith, 78 of Kell, Illinois, passed away Monday May 1, 2017 at Salem Township Hospital.

He was born Jan 29, 1939, in Louisville, KY to Willard Lewis and Jeannette Harned Stith. Leon enjoyed, nature, fishing, traveling and reading. He retired from World Color Press in the printing department. He attended Union Trinity Full Gospel Church and was a member of Lights and Lens. camera Club and Prairie Land Bee Keepers.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and first wife, Bobbie Jo Stroup and two brothers, Willard Larry Stith and Franklin Ethridge Stith.

Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Virginia Ann Bruce Stith of Kell, Illinois ; two daughters, Maura Gerard and her husband, Donald, Jr. of Bowling Green, KY. And Tammy Heckel and her husband, Matt of St Louis, MO; a son Adam Bryant of Johnson City; a brother, Garry Stith and his wife Grace of Surfside Beach, SC; three sisters, Willnetta Stith Lewis and her husband Danny of Sun City Center, Fl, Annetta Stith Martin and her husband, Rois of Elizabethtown, KY and Emma Stith Marcum of Louisville, KY., a half brother, Larry Swisher of Louisville, KY; nine grandchildren and a great grand child.

A graveside service is at 1 p.m. CDT Friday May 5 at Custer Cemetery, Custer, KY. with Matt Heckel officiating.

Visitation begins at noon CDT Thursday, May 4, at Rogers-Adkins Funeral Home in Salem, Illinois.
