Mr. John Brooks "J.B." Hill, age 91 of Murfreesboro, formerly of Sparta, passed away Friday, May 11, 2018 at Alive Hospice Murfreesboro.
Mr. Hill was born October 18, 1926 in Franklin County, Tennessee to the late Hardy H. & Annie Byrom Hill. He was a retired lab tech for Cookeville General Hospital. He was an avid gardener and a member of Sparta First United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife Mary Ruth Officer Hill and a daughter Beth Hill.
Surviving family members include his three daughters Beverly McPherson and husband Dr. Warren McPherson of Murfreesboro, TN, Dr. Lisa Gott and husband Danny of Cookeville, Dr. Lita Warise and husband Dr. Matt Warise of Murfreesboro, TN
Two grandchildren: Shane Whitley, Brittany Howell and husband David
Five great-grandchildren: Maddux Howell, Raegan Howell, Sarah Elizabeth Whitley, Bretton Whitley, Rachel Whitley
Sister: Juanita Hardin of Huntsville, AL
Graveside services will be conducted 2:00pm Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Old Zion Cemetery. There will be no visitation prior to the service. Ken Wallace will officiate.
