Margaret D. Beck Switzer Coffman

Passed away Thursday at IU Arnett Hospital.

Daughter of Glen Max and Dorothy Mae Sims Burk.
Married Richard L. Switzer Sr. They divorced.
Married Richard D. Coffman March 18, 1963 at Franklin, TN. He survives.
Also surviving are daughter Susan Prekar; sons Jon, Cory and Andrew Coffman; sister Maxine Brewer; brother George T. Burk; 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by sons Richard L. Jr. and Kenneth Dale Switzer and sister Mary Jane Wycoff.

Graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School.

Traveling with her military husband, she was employed at many different jobs, including sales manager for LaSalle Extension.

Attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Lafayette.

Former member of the Toastmistress Club in Los Angeles, and was a Girl Scout leader in the US and in Germany where she helped the Girl Scouts organize the first Christmas Parade in Darmstadt, Germany.

Funeral service 1pm Monday, May 14 at Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, Oxford with Pastor Linda Sproull officiating.
Visitation one hour prior to service.

Memorial donations to the Girl Scouts of America.
