EARL GARDNER

Earl Gardner, 41, of Vigo Park, died June 15 after an automobile and motorcycle accident at a country road intersection.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 17 at the Vigo Park Methodist Church with the Rev. Lanny Wheeler, chaplain of King's Manor Methodist Home and the Rev. Rick Justice, pastor of Vigo Park Baptist Church officiating. Burial followed in Vigo Park Cemetery under the direction of Wallace Funeral Home.

Mr. Gardner was born July 29, 1952 in Swisher County. He married Dian Hall on December 14, 1977 in Silverton. He was a farmer, a truck driver and a member of the Vigo Park Methodist Church. He was an instructor of truck driving at Texas State Technical Institute in Amarillo and a member of the Happy Masonic Lodge, #1008.

Survivors include his wife, Diane; two daughters, Celeste and Stella Gardner, both of the home; two sons, Kenneth Gardner and Joshua Gardner, also living at home; his mother, Mrs. O. W. "Hazel" Gardner of Vigo Park; two sisters, Myrla Sue Gardner of Carrollton and Rebecca Bivens of Little Elm; two brothers, Gary Gardner and Dan Gardner, both of Vigo Park. He was preceded in death by his father, O. W. Gardner on March 29, 1980.

Pallbearers will be Gary SoRelle, Jesse Hall, Michael Hall, John Bivens, Craig Gardner, Hollister Gardner and Charles Gardner.
