AGED WOMAN DIED EARLY THIS MORNING

Mrs. Susan L. Campbell Passed Away at Home of Son, Near Marietta.

Mrs. Susan L. Campbell, 78 years old and one of the best known aged residents of the Marietta community passed away at 2:45 o'clock this morning at the home of her son, Clarence Campbell, one mile south of Marietta.

Mrs. Campbell had been ill since October 3 from a complication of diseases and for the past several days, her condition had been critical.

Mrs. Campbell was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Bass and was born in Shelby County.

She was united in a first marriage to John H. Scott, who preceded her in death.

They were the parents of one son, Oscar Scott, of Johnson County.

Later she was married to Henry J. Campbell and they were the parents of five sons and daughters, who are Clarence Campbell, at whose home she died; Mrs. Albert Bennett, of near Marietta; Mrs. Grover Lee of Lewis Creek; William H. Campbell of this city and Mrs. Hallard Gohn of Marietta. She also leaves a sister, Mrs. Mary Webb of Huntington Park, Calif., fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are to be held at 2:00 o'clock Wednesday afternoon from the Marietta M.P. Church with the Rev. Clarence Hager of Columbus, officiating.

Burial will be at Miller Cemetery in charge of Ezra Carmony, funeral director.
