GEORGE S. BASS FUNERAL TODAY
Funeral services for George S. Bass, 71, of Shelby county, who died Thursday at the Robert W. Long hospital in Indianapolis, were held this afternoon at 2:00 at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist church in Shelby county, conducted by the Rev. William Bennett. Burial was made in the church cemetery.
Mr. Bass for more than 50 years was a resident of Shelby county. He was born in Bartholomew county and lived here until 1873 when he married Miss Amanda Fisher and the couple moved to Shelby county immediately after their marriage and had since lived there. He is survived by his wife and five children.
