Marian Cecilia Paszek, 83, of Hampstead, MD, passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Ridgeway Manor, Catonsville, MD. Born on May 8, 1934 in Abbottstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Henry and Margaret C. Kuhn Breighner. She was the wife of the late Leon Frank Paszek, Jr. who passed away in 1974.

In 1952, she graduated from Delone Catholic High School, and then went on to graduate from Mercy Hospital Nursing School in 1956. Marian was a registered nurse at Mercy Hospital for 38 years. She was a faithful member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church and was active in the Care and Share Craft Group and Winterfest.

Surviving her are children: Mary, Teresa and husband Jeffrey, and Julia and husband G. Michael. She was predeceased by 10 siblings.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, May 11, from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A. 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102. A Requiem Mass will be held on Saturday, May 12, at 9 am at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 2930 Hanover Pike, Manchester, MD. Interment to follow in The Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Baltimore, MD. If desired, donations in her memory may be made to St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, PO Box 448, Manchester, MD 21102.
