Funeral services will be Friday, 2 p.m. at Summerville Funeral Home in Sandy Creek, NY with Rev. Brian Snyder officiating. Spring burial in Boylston-Sandy Creek Cemetery In Lacona. Calling hours Friday, noon to 2 p.m. prior to the funeral.

Harwood R "Sam" Chrisman, 86 of Lacona passed away Dec 13, 2010 at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown.
Born May 29, 1924 in the Tow of Boylston, the son of the late James and Euphemia Franklin Chrisman, he graduated from Sandy Creek High School and married Dec 24, 1944 in Sandy Creek United Methodist Church to the former Ella J Ridgeway. They lived all their lives in the Sandy Creek-Lacona area. His wife died Feb 27, 2006.
Mr Chrisman was a construction worker until retiring in 1981, He was a charter member of the Sandy Creek Beagle Club.
Survived by four daughters Linda Dowlern of Redfield, Cheryl (Ronald) Priest of Parish; Dawn (Wayne) Lindsey of Sandy Creek and Pamela (Dennis) Donhauser of Lafayette Hills, Pa, one son James Chrisman of Lacona; 15 grandchildren 33 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. 2 sisters, Virginia Peter and Isabelle Ballou both of Lacona.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Rex Chrisman and Alfred Chrisman.
Funeral services were at Summerville Funeral Home in Sandy Creek with the Rev Brian Snyder officiating. Spring burial in Boylston Sandy Creek Cemetery in Lacona.
